Play
Every control in the sandbox: the command bar, the pointer, Maxwell, the inventory, the inspect panel, Pretend, sound, and the daily and world pages.
The command bar
Type into "What do you need?" and press Enter or the Summon button. Prompts are capped at 80 characters. The object falls in from the top of the sky, under a small parachute when it does not fly on its own, and lands somewhere random along the ground. The same prompt always gives the same object, for everyone, because the server caches it by prompt.
Free visitors see a "summons left today" counter under the bar. When it hits zero the bar says so and links to the holder tier. Crafting spends a summon too.
Drag, throw, click, double click
- Drag an object anywhere. It follows the pointer and tilts with the motion.
- Throw by letting go while moving. The release velocity carries over, capped at 1800 pixels a second on each axis. Objects bounce off the walls and the ground according to their bounce value, and heavy things bounce less.
- Click an object (press and release without moving more than 6 pixels) and it squashes, nudges upward, and opens the inspect panel.
- Double click (a second click on the same object within 350 milliseconds) and it hops.
- Empty sky answers clicks with a question mark doodle. The sun winks. Flowers pop.
Maxwell
Maxwell is the small green character at the left edge. He is not an object: he has no basket, market goals never count him, and he cannot be dragged. He can carry things, and he throws what he carries in the direction he faces. Anything with a mass above 4 (tanks, ships, carriers) is too heavy for him.
- Entersummon what is in the command bar
- ADMaxwell walks left or right (the arrow keys work too)
- WSpaceMaxwell jumps (or the up arrow)
- EMaxwell grabs the object in front of him, or throws the one he carries
- Msound on or off
- Escclose the inspect panel and the Pretend panel
- Deleteremove the inspected object (Backspace too)
On touch screens (any coarse pointer) four round buttons appear at the bottom right of the canvas: Left, Right, Jump and grab. Hold Left or Right to walk.
Inventory and crafting
Every summon this session is listed in the inventory on the left. Click one to spawn another copy. The + next to it picks the object for the crafting table; pick two to four, then press Craft. The server merges the ingredients into one new thing with a basket recomposed from theirs, and the result spawns and joins the inventory. A rocket plus a robot plus a solar farm is a Mars colony, or something like it.
The inspect panel
Clicking an object opens a card on the right. It shows the paper face for a beat, then flips to a white panel in a plain font: the basket with weights and reasons, a live quote per line, the weighted day change and what a 100 dollar version of the basket is worth right now. The buttons on it:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Own it | Opens the order ticket: amount in USDG, slippage, approve, buy. See Own it on mainnet. |
| Share | Copies the link to the summon's share page, which carries the 1200x630 card. |
| Mint as NFT | Mints the object as a ScribbleObjects token, one per summon per wallet. Only shown when the contract address is configured. |
| Post to world | Publishes the summon to the shared world strip, with an optional author name of up to 16 characters. |
| Remove | Deletes the object from the canvas with a small poof. Delete and Backspace do the same. |
| Summon as token | Opens the pons launchpad with the basket's primary Stock Token as the quote asset. Only shown when NEXT_PUBLIC_PONS_URL is set. |
Pretend the market did...
The Pretend button at the bottom right opens a panel with one slider per driver ticker currently on screen (the five most common ones), from minus 10 to plus 10 percent in half-percent steps. Moving a slider overrides that ticker's day change for the whole world, so you can watch a robot fall over without waiting for NVDA to do it. Overrides stay in place while the panel is closed; "Back to live prices" clears them all, and so does reloading the page, since they live in the running world only.
Sound
Nothing plays until you click or press a key, because browsers insist. After that there are short effects for summons, landings, bounces, throws, crafts, stumbles, smoke, sparkles and goals, each with a little pitch wobble and a stereo pan that follows the object. Three looping themes crossfade under them: the day tune, a storm tune when the weather is a semiconductor storm or gloom, and a night tune between 20:00 and 6:00 local time. The speaker button and the M key mute everything, and the choice is remembered in this browser.
The daily and the world
Daily serves three challenges for the UTC date, chosen deterministically so everyone gets the same three. Pick one and the sandbox opens with the goal in the top left. Goals come in four kinds: reach a marker (the moon, the top of the sky, the right edge), summon something whose basket is at least X percent one sector, summon something containing a ticker, or craft one thing out of N. The check runs against whatever is on the canvas, and "Done. That counts." appears when it passes. Holders get 10 Ink per finished challenge, once per challenge per day.
World is a strip of the last 60 shared creations, each a paper cut-out with its top three tickers. Remake summons it in your own sandbox and bumps the remake counter; when the author is a holder they get 2 Ink for it, up to 20 per post per day.
